A spirit of celebration and joy filled the air at Maroma’s annual Ayudha Puja this year. The Maroma campus, typically humming with the creation of incense, perfumes, and candles, on this day was transformed into a festive playground for the afternoon. Bright garlands adorned workstations and lovely kolams decorated the floors in a display of respect to these tools and instruments used in Production. The celebration began with a traditional puja in the morning, where tools and machines were honored and thanked for their silent (and not so silent in some cases) service. After this paying of respect, the energy shifted to one of joy and camaraderie as Maroma’s team gathered for an afternoon of games and laughter. Musical chairs was the first event, and the competition was fierce. Laughter echoed as chairs were snatched and people scrambled to secure a seat when the music stopped. Next came the egg and spoon race, a test of balance and determination. Teammates cheered each other on, trying their best to keep their eggs from falling off the spoons. As the sun began to set, a much-anticipated part of the day arrived — the distribution of gifts. Laura, Maroma’s CEO, handed out elegant carry-on suitcases, perfect for personal travel and stainless steel cookware sets — both practical and beautiful, reflecting Maroma’s gratitude to their workers. Maroma had once again brought the team together, not just to honour the tools of the trade, but to celebrate the people that work together to create its products
