Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, the beloved elephant-headed deity associated with wisdom, prosperity, and the removal of obstacles.
Celebrated over several days, the festival brings families and communities together through prayers, offerings, music, and beautifully decorated idols of Ganesha. The celebration traditionally concludes with the immersion of the idol in water, symbolizing the cycle of creation and renewal.
At its heart, Ganesh Chaturthi is a celebration of wisdom, hope, and new beginnings: a time to seek blessings for the journey ahead.
It was a pleasure to connect with partners, customers, and like-minded members of the global organic community, while sharing the values, craftsmanship, and natural products that define Maroma.

Raison D’être
Born on the Coromandel Coast of South India in the international township of Auroville, Maroma began as a dream – to distill the essence of nature and share it with the world. Inspired by the Pondicherry’s perfume tradition, the abundance of natural essences from the Auroville bioregion and crafted by a community of artisans, every product reflects a love for the earth and for each other. From hand-poured candles to soaps made with indigenous botanicals and perfumes echoing French traditions, Maroma is a story of harmony – between people, planet, and purpose.
